This workshop is designed to help local elected officials and other leaders understand the role small business plays in local economic development and ways to get started in building entrepreneurial communities. 

The day’s agenda will include sessions that provide practical tools for getting ready to do entrepreneurship development, an opportunity to hear from local leaders about what’s happening with entrepreneurship support in their communities, and a panel of entrepreneurs who will share their experiences in building businesses in the region.

The workshop will feature Deborah Markley of the Center for Rural Entrepreneurship, a nationally recognized expert in building, supporting, and evaluating community entrepreneurship efforts. 

Registration:
The registration fee for this workshop is $75. All training materials, breaks, breakfast and lunch are included in the fee.
